An extrusion blow molding machine for HDPE automotive air ducts and intake hoses rather than bottles. It blows hollow, contoured pipe shapes that route air through the engine bay.
Overview
Air ducts and intake hoses are irregular hollow parts that must hold their bend and wall strength under engine-bay heat and vibration, and this machine blows them to shape with controlled wall distribution. The energy-saving servo-hydraulic drive manages the parison through the curved profile so the duct forms evenly along its length. Automatic in-line deflashing clears the flash from the contoured parting line, cutting hand finishing on these complex shapes. The machine runs fully automatically and pairs with matching tooling.
