An extrusion blow molding machine with DAS wall-thickness control for HDPE automotive air ducts and pipes. The DAS system profiles the parison so bends and varying cross-sections come out evenly walled and strong.
Overview
Air ducts and pipes change diameter and bend along their length, so wall material must be placed where it is needed; the DAS axial wall-thickness control programs the parison profile to do exactly that. Even distribution prevents thin, weak spots at bends and keeps part weight in check. Servo-hydraulic drive supports the precise, repeatable movement these technical parts require, and AMAN tools the duct moulds and supplies the matched line.
