Customized 5 Gallon PC Bottle ISBM Machine
A customized injection blow molding machine with stretch-rod stage (ISBM) for 5-gallon PC bottles, the refillable water carboys used in dispensers. The one-step ISBM cycle injects, stretches and blows polycarbonate into a strong, clear, seamless 5-gallon container.
Overview
This ISBM solution forms returnable 5-gallon PC bottles in a single inject-stretch-blow sequence, building the biaxial orientation polycarbonate needs to survive repeated wash-and-refill cycles. Stretching the preform before blowing aligns the wall for impact strength and clarity, while one-step processing keeps the neck precise for standard dispenser caps. Suited to industrial water-packaging plants, the inject/blow rotary layout forms the 5-gallon (about 19L) bottle without a reheat stage, and AMAN customizes preform and bottle tooling to the plant's bottle.
